Rover Ramble

My sister, mom, nephew and I signed up for a run/walk this last weekend that benefited the Humane Society.  None of us had our dogs with us; Brooke has a dog free home, my mom left her poor doggy home at the last minute, and Rex is not really fit for the public.  It was fun though, I'm proud to say I made it the whole distance and didn't end up in an exhausted heap on the side of the path, and the weather was great.  Brooke and I decided that there should be a list of things that you hear at an event for the Humane Society that you wouldn't hear at any other run, and we'll start the list.

"I'm missing a paw!", said by the mascot, a woman in a large dog suit.
"We have poop bags!" a hand-out that is normally not found in goody bags!

To Cade:  Brooke was wondering if we signed up for this race two years besides this one, or just one, because she couldn't remember if she and I ran it once with just us, and then another time you were with us.  We came to the conclusion that we have only done it once before, and the confusion comes from the memory of the three of us driving out together, but then when you left us in the dust at the starting line, it was Brooke and I plodding along together :)
