Parade

We went to the St. Patrick's Day Parade a couple Saturday's ago. Cooper wasn't feeling well, so he was content to stay quiet and cozy in his stroller, but the friends and my niece we went with had a great time. We were in a great spot towards the beginning of the parade route, so everyone had plenty of candy they were handing out; and even though I was tempted, I didn't rush out in the street for a single piece, I let the kids have it all :)

This picture cracks (!) me up!! Oh, so funny...

Travis and I both took last Friday off from work to paint the living room and do a couple other projects, so we still took Cooper to Grandma's for daycare. We were eating lunch when we realized that it had been almost a year since we had both been home during the day without Cooper being there. It was kind of strange - our house wasn't the same without him!

Why Mommy is no fun, by Cooper Lee:
She will not let me dump my plastic cup full of water out of the bathtub.
She insists on wiping my face after I eat; is anyone really going to care if I have green beans from chin to eyebrow?
I have never once gotten to play with the camera, even though I try. Constantly.
She won't let me eat dog food, her houseplants, or fuzzys I find on the floor.
She says "no" way too much.

On the other hand, I am pretty sure that no one loves me like my mommy loves me.

Oops, didn't notice that there.

Too late now!

Rex is not a smart dog. He's the kind of dog that will go after a porcupine and jump out of a moving truck. From two rooms away he can hear a tiny piece of cat food drop on the kitchen floor, but is mysteriously deaf when we're outside and he's only two feet away. If I ever go for a jog, I try to sneak out of the house without him knowing, because I sometimes have a hard time just keeping myself running, and it's even harder when I'm fighting a dog that is trying to haul me up the sidewalk and into bushes. I have to hide my headphones when I grab them, because Rex knows they mean I'm leaving and he gets extremely hyper because he thinks he's going for a run too. I also can't say the W A L K or R U N word, because he also knows what they mean. He has very selective intelligence.

Very few people could wear their hair like this and get away with it!

We went and got Cooper's pictures taken last night. It was harder this time than it has been before. He is definitely a morning person, so is normally a little cranky in the evening and the smiles don't come as easily, plus now that he can get around so well, he definitely didn't want to stay put when the photographer put him in a pose.

Day Light Savings

Things I have a feeling I would have gotten done during the lost hour of Day Light Savings:

I finally would have gotten my photo albums up to date (I'm a year behind, with record amounts of pictures to print out and put in order)

Gone through my closets and gotten rid of at least a third of the items that I haven't worn for years and probably never will again. (I know full well when I keep them that I will probably never take them off of the hanger, but its a sickness)

Shampooed my carpets to pick up at least some of the stuff that for some reason a vacuum won't pick up but miraculously Cooper's clothes will.

So you see, it really is a shame that I lost that hour.

I've never had spotless windows, but now I have an excuse :)
