I heart chocolate cake!

I would like to thank my friend Kelly B for enriching my life. Of course, you've enriched it in many ways Kelly, you are a terrific friend and person, but specifically, at this moment, I'm talking about the joy you brought to my life when you gave me the recipe for chocolate lava cakes. I have made it several times, think about making it constantly, and think it is one of the best things in the world!

Toe Jam

This little guy has gotten so he's pretty worried about having fuzzies in his toes. Every night when we take of his socks we have to get every last little spec of fuzz out, and he even had to do a quick check at the dinner table the other night.

Cake Maker

Dear Martha Stewart,
Well, I did it, I made one of your recipes, including embellishments in honor of the Superbowl. It did not however look just like the one in the magazine picture. I bet though, when you made this in your kitchen, you didn't have the same issues as me. I bet you didn't have to interrupt the 'stirring constantly' of the egg white and sugar mixture to go chase away a neighbor dog from the front yard, at the same time threatening your own barking dog that if he wakes your sleeping boy from his nap, there will be trouble. I bet you didn't have two cats circling your feet like sharks trying to convince you that if they didn't get dinner in the next 2 minutes, they would surely perish. I also bet you already knew the technique to cutting mints into football shapes without breaking several, so there was no trial and error period, and I bet at the end of it, your footballs were not only all the same shape, but they probably looked just like footballs. The few white sprinkles you needed were probably pre-sorted for you, and you didn't have to try and find them in the big tub of sprinkles while getting every other color of sprinkles stuck to your frosting covered fingers. So, mine didn't look just like yours, but once you factor in my kitchen handicap, much like you would for golf, it turned out just fine!

Picture Quiz

Grandma & Grandpa Trumm, we've been looking at your picture a lot lately - we have all of our framed pictures on a table that Cooper can reach, which means he's constantly rearranging and playing with them. He likes to bring me the pictures and we talk about who we're seeing. He always seems to have a favorite picture for a while, and lately it's been the one we have of you two, so we've talked lots and lots about Great Grandma & Great Grandpa!

Toys...

I'm getting close to admitting defeat. The toys scattered everywhere are winning the battle, and it's almost easier to just step over and maneuver around them than try to keep them picked up. And of course, every last one has to be emptied out of the bin to make room for a small body.

More Snow!

It might be freezing, but Cooper doesn't care, he loves being outside!

Caution

I've blogged about the teeth, I've posted pictures of the teeth, here's another angle; one I'm ashamed to be able to share. This poor little guy at daycare seems to be the target whenever Cooper's feeling... toothy. I'm not sure what the proper protocol is when this happens. An "I'm sorry note"? A small gift? The promise to keep Cooper wearing a mouth guard?
