Personally, this doesn't look overly comfortable, but I guess when you're really tired, it doesn't matter how you lay.  Cooper's gotten to where he seems to look forward to bed.  When I know it's time, (determined by how many seconds there are in between little temper flare-ups)  we'll go into his room, and as I straighten out his blanket, he'll try to get out of my arms to get into his crib.  I can see why, the energy he puts into absolutely everything he does has to make him exhausted by the end of the day!

Cooper loves his cousin Griffin.  If Griffin is laying on the floor, Cooper is bound to be right there, crawling over him, poking at him, trying to chew on his foot...  The poor little guy has to be up out of Cooper's reach.  I don't think it'll be too long though before they're getting into trouble together.

A few pictures

I feel like I should have a variety of pictures to put on here, but only come up with Cooper in a variety of settings.  I don't know what I took pictures of before he came around; I've always loved my camera, and taken plenty of pictures, but I'm not sure of what.  We don't really go anywhere or do too much though, so I guess it makes sense that the one occupying most of my time is the one most captured in photos.

This is the way to take a walk!

I figured I better get a picture of him in his puffy coat, since the weather is getting warmer and we probably won't see him in this coat again.  He grew into it a bit, at the beginning of winter it looked like he was being eaten by a giant blue marshmallow.

I love this picture of my niece in her Easter dress.  I joke with my sister that taking a picture of Addie is like trying to take a picture of a gnat; she's always so busy and can barely pause long enough look at the camera for the short time it takes for me to take the picture.

I thought this was a funny picture of Cooper that showed his mischievous grin pretty well, but then I looked closer and saw the smear of dried food on his cheek.  I swear we do try and get him clean after meals!

This is the face of a boy who loves ice cream!!

Missing

Wanted: M
Last seen: Weeks ago
A few recent M sightings:
In the alphabet spaghettios in the cupboard
The famous golden arches we drive past every day
As heard in the alphabet song we sing in the car
I hear myself and others say it all of the time, so I know that M is in fact still a valid letter, it doesn't seem to have been eliminated from the alphabet. But there is one little boy who has for the most part stopped say "M". I'm not sure why, but I miss it! Yes, all those other sounds and chatter are great as well, but there is just nothing quite like "mamamama".

Out like a lion...

I think March is the month that's supposed to be in like a lion, out like a lamb. This year it was backwards, with sunny beautiful weather at the beginning of the month, and cold and snowy at the end. Cooper's month was the same way, he started out pretty good, but as the month wore on he got the flu, a cold, and ended with croup. I hope April will be better, both weather-wise, because I'm so anxious for warm weather, and with Cooper, because it seems like he has been sick and crabby for a long time. I think I might get my wish though! We seem to have started April like a lion, it's gray and gloomy outside, and Cooper has pink-eye. Here's hoping we end better than we've started!

Mystery

I've heard of a pacifier fairy; when you want your child to give up their dependence on the pacifier, you tell them that the pacifier fairy is going to come and collect all of their pacifiers and give them to babies who need them. I am starting to think that the pacifier fairy has competition though, that there is also a pacifier troll who makes his appearance long before the poor fairy gets her chance. This is the only explanation I can come up with for the fact that we have at one time had around a dozen pacifiers, and are now down to 3 that we practically sign in and out to Cooper so that we can keep track of them. I feel like I've looked everywhere for all of the missing, so it must be this troll taking them.

Little Biter

Cooper is getting his third tooth, and my mom told me today that she thinks he might be like I was when I was little and be the daycare biter. Uh-oh! I'm not sure how to stop it from happening. So far he has just been biting our clothes a bit, and I'm not sure what he gets out of that, but hopefully it will not progress into biting people! Something tells me the other parents will not appreciate three little bite marks on their kids from a crazed little chomper!
